USA has PBS & NPR; Canada has the CBC & SRC

Dr Pipes,

Thanks to you and your staff for the work that is being done to counter the incomplete half truths emanating from the Arab Media and the American Public Media committingadisserviceto its viewers, or as PBS likes to say, " Viewers Like You ".

Here in Canada, we taxpayers are forced to finance the CBC; the Canadian Broadcasting Company and its French counterpart the SRC; Societe Radio Canada.

CBC reporting is very soft on Islamic Terrorism but very quick to point out the depth of Israeli military replies when terrorism occurs. The are anything but biased and have been accused of being Pro-Hizbollah in a national paper ( National Post, December 14, 2002).

It recently showed a a politically correct documentary on Islam discussingt he contributions that the Arab Peoples have given the world. Nothing we do not already know ( i.e., algebra, algorthm, navigating, etc. ) No contributions past the 13th century, after Islam entered the picture.

I have stopped contributing to NPR and ask that good well meaning people do the same.
