Dear Mr. HewlettReader comment on item: "Muslim Group Targets Jewish Holidays" Submitted by Fred Schlomka (Israel), Jul 7, 2006 at 00:59 You said: I thought the founder was a Jewish Rabbi? The non-Christians of this world are tired of being 'made' into disciples. Please look after your own. There are plenty of 'fallen Christians' who need your missionaries. A religion that tells children that from the first day they were born, they are condemned to burn in 'Hell' unless they 'repent', I find a little repulsive. For any group to a anounce that they have the corner on the holy truth is repugnant to any decent person, and dangerous. So get a life Mr. Hewlett. Non-Christians around the world are tired of the hypocrisy of modern Christians who deny their connection to the historical attrocities committed in their name, then blithely continue the same dangerous path. Ultimately there is no 'peaceful persuasion' in religion or politics. Your government topples others, and your religion has done the same. And make no mistake, modern Israelis, Arab and Jew alike, feel the same way about Western Christian expansionism as their brethern all over the Middle East. Some of us are happy to accept your financial and political support, but all agree that you need to check your religious proselytising at the door. Thank you.
