Disturbing how they excused the slaughter of the Jews

I watched the Muhammad "documentary". What was most disturbing was how easily they excused the slaughter of 800 Jewish men and enslaving the women and children for "supporting" the Meccans. Of course, they didn't define what "supporting" actually meant. Then later on, when the Meccans, who actually took up the sword against Muhammad, were conquered, Muhammad let them go. Why? Because they weren't Jews. Kill the Jews as necessary seems to be the real message of Islam. They also conveniently left out the common practice of charging Christians and Jews such high taxes that they couldn't pay them, so Muslims thought nothing of taking the women and children as slaves for the debt.
