conversion in Israel

It's actually illegal in Israel to try convince anyone to change their religion. To be a classic missionary in Israel is to violate the law. Not a bad idea given the rather draconian measures (torture, slaughter) used in the past by Christian missionaries trying to 'civilize' the world. Muslims and Jews, with the exception of a few historical anomalies, have generally coexisted with other religions in regions under their control. However Muslims, like Christians, also have a historical desire to dominate those not inclined to their persuasion.
