Public Funding of Religious ProsletyzingReader comment on item: PBS, Recruiting for Islam Submitted by Howard Green (Israel), Dec 18, 2002 at 11:38 The Public Broadcasting Corporation should not use public funds to promote any religion nor should it use public funds to propagandize any side of a political question. Today's situation that exists as the Muslim world confronts Israel and the rest of the Western, democratic world is not a proper topic for public TV to take a side. There are many disputes regarding the life of the prophet Muhammed that should be included in any presentation about Islam today. Public TV, in fact any TV, should not present only one politically correct, sanitized version.Howard M.
