PBS, Recruiting for IslamReader comment on item: PBS, Recruiting for Islam Submitted by Arnold Cohen (United States), Dec 18, 2002 at 11:11 PBS is certainly entitled to deliver programs that evoke responses about artistic merit and intellectual integrity. The most compelling issue is whether its program, by virtue of federal funding, crosses the First Amendment line by violating the prohibition against government establishment of religion. That is the story you should address more directly. The challenge will be to distinguish genuine public education from disguised promotion of religion. If I get to view the program, I shall make my own determination.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
