Her Majesty's Government has responded the way Democracies normally respond, that is, through a P.R. stunt. This is similar to the United States' ridiculous "Special Registration" and more recent "Operation Return to Sender".
These stunts certainly make the news, but they don't accomplish anything more than convicing the public that our representatives are doing something. We are supposed to be assured that everything is under control. It's not. And if the is the best that democracies can muster, we are headed for trouble.
