CAIR would have filed a lawsuit if Elshazly's remarks had been made by a non Muslim

Reader comment on item: Law Enforcement Urged to Indulge Muslim Misbehavior

Besides the stereotypes which Dr. Pipes so assiduously noted, Elshazly's claims that Muslims won't help law enforcement organisations, is troubling.

Elshazy also stated that "we (Muslims) are all descendants from tribes" which begs the question as to where that leaves the status of tens of thousands of converts to Islam. who cannot make this claim, and implies that those who are not born originally from the 'tribes' i.e. converts are considered inferior to those born Muslim.

"... the (Muslim)culture has little trust in law enforcement. "But if you treat them with honor and respect, they will be extremely helpful to you as a person, but not necessarily to your organization," she said.

Muslims have tight communities, so if you treat one person well, the whole community will know about it, she said. "Remember that we are descendants from tribes," she said.."

Had the tribal assertion been made by a non Muslim - CAIR's PR machine would have already been in full gear charging the NJ Attorney General's office with stereotyping and insulting Muslims by implying that they will not cooperate with law enforcement.

In this case, the stereotypes play right in to CAIR's aim of eliciting special treatment for Muslims (and hindering law enforcement effectiveness) by demanding they defer to Muslim sensibilities by telling them:

"... if a police officer knocks on the door of a Muslim who is praying, he will shout "Allahu Akbar," which means God is Great. "If the police don't understand, and go on knocking on the door, it's a problem for both sides," she said.

Elshazly's ominous assertion that "it would pose a problem for both sides" if law enforcement officers continued knocking on the door of a Muslim house after hearing "Allahu Akhbar" being shouted from inside , is proof that she is promoting deference to shari'a over the dicatates of security.

The NJ Attorney General's office must be called into account and launch an investigation into how a member of their staff insidiously mislead law enforcement by playing down the true nature of the Islamist threat.
