Finally, a Muslim I can respect and welcome while disagreeing on religious issues. If others had this humility, sense of proportion, and gratitude for the United States, its ideals, its unique contribution to humanity, they would be valued friends, coworkers, and neighbors.
However, Muslims that cling to Wahabbist or Salafist sects of Islam are a danger to everyone, including themselves. They are at war with the world and are a pariah to mankind. As a Christian, I will stand toe to toe with any religion. If Muslims are unafraid of the Truth, let them set aside intemporate and immature passions leading to violence. Let them present logical and reasoned argument respecting the non-believers right to disagree with the tenants of Islam. Let intellectual discourse, disquisition and respectful debate pursuade or fail to make the case. In short, let Muslims walk out of the gross darkness of the 7 Century and into the 21 Century with hope for the future. A lot of genuine progress has occured over the centuries notwithstanding the real problems that challenge us.
Finally, I would rather work with Muslims then fight them but if that isn't a real possibility, let the games begin. As a Christian, death holds no fear for me at all. Jesus Christ has defeated sin, death and the Devil. He has done jihad for me on the cross.
