the deep resentment for the west and America in particular is deeply rooted for LEGITIMATE reasons, for years since the colonial period of the 18th century the west has been carving a tidy sum within arab lands, with no regard for the arab people. Many of the regimes such as that in Tehran are actually a product of Americas ignorant foreign policy! America during the 70s, 80s and 90s fought over the middle east setting up puppet regimes with pro american, anti communist leanings, these regimes had appalling human rights records, vicous acts of malice were often perpotrated by these despotic regimes on the common people, these secular regimes also openly oppressed the practice of Islam which angered the people. So its not a surprise that many arabs blame the political and social instability of the region on America, the root cause. Arabs are friendly people i should know i am one, we want the same things as americans, japanese, peruvians etc... we dont hate christ, infact many arabs are practicing christians =) and dont forget that christ is given much credit in the Koran as an important and loving prophet.
I am not trying to justify the evil acts of september the 11th but people must know that the American government has been dealing with this part of the world without any regard for freedom and democracy. People step back and take a look at the wider picture! we are all human beings we need to learn to forgive and forget, not kill eachother. in this "war" there is no side of the "good"
