Thank you, Muslim, for your comments. I perceive, however, that you are confused or disingenuous or perhaps both. Think about this. Every Muslim must go to bed terrified that he or she may die during the night in their sins. Muslims, like Christians, believe that at death God will judge them. Muslims as Christians believe in a literal firey and eternal Hell. Muslims believe that if the evil they have done out weighs the good they have done, Allah will condem them to Hell. How does the Muslim know if he or she has done more good than evil? There is no objective way to know in Islam. Therefore, the Muslim cocerned about his eternal destiny is terrified and lives in terror. As a Christian, I believe Jesus Christ paid the price for all my sins and in my place. "The LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. For He was cut of from the land of the living: for the transgression of my people He was stricken. He poured out His life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors." (Isaiah 53) As a Christian, I have a Savior. Islam knows no savior from sin. I go to bed with the words of Jesus Christ who said, "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my Word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; He has crossed over from death to life." (John 5:24) I don't need to do jihad to purify my sins. Jesus Christ did jihad for me. When God sees me He sees the Righteousness of Christ covering me, my nakedness and shame is covered and atoned for forever, no more to be remembered. Praise God, what a Salvation!
