Jesus is against Polygamy Nuray

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?
in response to reader comment: Yes Allah permits polygamy. What is wrong with that?

Nuray not all religions from the middle east embrace poligamy. Jesus Christ rejected that's poligamy is illegal in Christian societies.

Mark 10:6-9

Jesus said, "From the beginning of creation, `God made them male and female.' `For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."

Notice that Jesus said wife not wives. The man and woman will become one flesh. This can only happen in an exclusive relationship between a man and a woman.
