Western sense of guilt

Reader comment on item: The Khadrs, Canada's First Family of Terrorism, in the News
in response to reader comment: Khadr family should be stripped of citizenship

As for feminsism and homosexual activism, mainstream western society tend to have a strong sense of guilt towards Muslims. The west is still suffering from a complex developed at the time of European colonialism. This complex has been passed on to North America. Yes, it is clear that those people have moved to Canada for mere economic reasons, and that they don't share any of the values of their host country. They obtained the Canadian passport, not because they care about Canada, but because it would give them better chances to travel to the USA, Europe and Australia. That is the case throughout the western world. I wish you could strip people of citizenship, a lot of problems would be solved. Third Wolrd immigration is based on the a-moral assumption that the West is wrong, and there is no need to integrate. Canada is a Commonwealth nation. If it is like Britain, then things could be quite bad. ' We live in a multicultural society and we favour the preservation of all cultures. We encourage immigrants to keep their own traditions and strongly oppose any discrimination on the grounds of religious beleief, gender and sexual orientation. We are strongly committed to equal opportunities and mutual understanding between different religions. We are determinted to fight against Islamophobia and racism". And blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah........................
