Officials should display sponsors like race car drivers...Reader comment on item: What Riyadh Buys [in Washington] Submitted by John Schaefer (United States), Dec 11, 2002 at 13:15 Here's a great idea that someone else thought of... All of these "officials" should be required to display their money sponsors graphically on their person -- in the same manner that race car drivers do. We could see at a glance the degree to which a public leader was compromised by tangled alliances. This would instantaneously elevate the status of the true servants of the people -- those who eschew such supicious looking alliances. Everyone else would clearly lose public credibility in proportion to their greed.
