Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?
in response to reader comment: A Few Questions For Muslims To Answer

Submitted by Khalis (Malaysia), May 9, 2006 at 03:46

To Annem,

How did I get that information that Muslim and Christians are worshipping the same god ? I heard from a debate in Indonesia. Below is prove . You can ask an interpreter if you have or simply go to

http://www.praize.com/biblesearch/bible.cgi?SEARCH=allah&BIBLE=Indonesian+%28Terjemahan+Baru%29&BOOK=40+MATIUS&CHAP=1&CASE=ON&HILITE=ON&SUBMIT=Search&FIRST=OK&R1=N

MAT 4:10 Maka berkatalah Yesus kepadanya: "Enyahlah, Iblis! Sebab ada tertulis: Engkau harus menyembah Tuhan, Allahmu, dan hanya kepada Dia sajalah engkau berbakti!"

It means, Jesus said, “get out ( or dismiss) iblis ( the devil) because it has been written that you have to pray to god, Allah and only to him (Allah) you serve”. Did I get it wrong ?

What have the best-selling book have to do with the value inside it ? What is this monthl best book seller and what is the best book seller last month ? What is the best seller for the entire year ? It will be changed every month , could you have a different religion every month ? Of course not . I’m just showing that there is no connection.

The rock , is not Allah, . When Muslims pray, we do not simply face anywhere, we have a direction which is Kaba. What is Haj ?

Hajj and its rites were first ordained by Allah in the time of the Prophet lbrahim [Abraham] and he was the one who was entrusted by Allah to build the Kaba - the House of Allah - along with his son Ismail [Ishmael] at Makkah. Allah described the Kaba and its building as follows:

"And remember when We showed Ibrahim the site of the [Sacred] House [saying]: Associate not anything [in worship with Me and purify My House for those who circumambulate it [i.e. perform tawaaf] and those who stand up for prayer and those who bow down and make prostration [in prayer etc.]."
[Surah Al-Hajj 22:26]

We are not worshipping Kaba. Kaba is not Allah. Allah order to face it and that Kaba is Allah’s House, so we do it. Don’t ask me does Allah lives in there because I don’t have the explanation to the meaning of it . If you persist, my answer would be no.

If you ask me could it be possible that the bible, is written in many versions is so that the bible can be understood and loved by the people who read it ? I do not know because I am not involve. The bible could be written in many languages, for people for people to understand but the contents should be the same. If you want to give a guidance you must be precise and clear or people will misinteprete it. Imagine dictionaries with different meanings. I might not understand what you are writing. If person wants guidance and not to be wandering of astray, then he or she will love it. How can you try to make versions to suit communities ? A holy book should have already be suitable to all society, no changes needed. All which is needed is to pass the message around so people can understand. Therefore, is must be precise. You asked, “ why is it that Muslims accept what are considered faulty Gnostic teachings about Christ?” . I ask you back, what do you mean by faulty Gnostic teachings about Christ ?
