Dear Professor Bier,

As an Australian lapsed Catholic with no particular Palestinian/Israeli axe to grind and having read some of your pricelessly shallow rantings, I find it extraordinarily perverse that apologists like yourself hide behind the veneer of academic discourse to air your one sided and often erroneous depiction of the Palestinian/ Israeli conflict.

To describe Israel as an occupying force in Palestine is to ignore the fact of what is an attempt for survival of this shoebox of a country in an Arab world bent on its destruction. The spirit of hatred and fanaticism imbedded against everything Jewish has been perpetually nurtured into an art form by people like yourself unaccustomed to living in the real world. You really should open your eyes and be more balanced in your tutelage and stop hiding behind pseudo and raciest diatribes in the guise of academic comment.
