Reader comment on item: Something Rotten in Denmark?
in response to reader comment: Some questions

Dear Justme,
I sincerely thank you for answering my questions regarding God and Jesus. As I told you before, I did not ask these questions to offend you, I asked them because I did not know about your concept of God and his relations with Jesus.

Though you might not be willing to discuss this subject, I have some observations on the matter which I thought I would let you know. But please don't get me wrong, I have no intention to hurt you by raising these points:

(1) You said Jesus is God's son, but NOT God himself. << You wrote: 'I don't know why you said I believe that Jesus was God himself, as I don't believe that.... This should answer your next questions about God giving birth to another God (or the same God)..No, God was not both Mary's son and her son's father. God is Mary's God and her son's father.>>

But I have found out that the Christians believe that JESUS IS GOD.

The website of Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry clearly spells out that Jesus is God.

In the Christian's holy book the Bible it is written:
"You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me" (Isaiah 43:10).

Also please see the write up: " Jesus is God: Biblical proofs".

(2) You said that the Holy Spirit is not a God. << " I think I explained what the Holy Spirit is. No, it's not a God.">>

But according to Christianity, the HOLY SPIRIT IS A GOD.

"Bible says that the Holy Spirit is God. ..The fact that the Holy Spirit is God is clearly seen in many Scriptures including Acts 5:3-4. In this verse Peter confronts Ananias as to why he had lied to the Holy Spirit and tells him that he had "not lied to men but to God." It is a clear declaration that lying to the Holy Spirit is lying to God. We can also know that the Holy Spirit is God because He possesses the attributes or characteristics of God. For example the fact that the Holy Spirit is omnipresent is seen in Psalm 139:7-8 "Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there."

(3) You said, "No, there are not 3 God's. There's one God. It's not that complicated."

But we see that, according to Christians, there are:
(i) The God
(ii) The Holy Spirit or the Holy Ghost (God)
(iii) Jesus (God)

So are there 3 Gods in total? Or, one God is divided into 3 parts?

I do not know if these subjects are forbidden to be disscueed in your religion. If it is a religious taboo, then I apologise for pointing out these things here. But if it Christians are allowed to discuss this subject, then I would request Justme, or any other Christian to kindly clarify these matters.

Let me reiterate to you that I have deep respect for all religions, and I do not want to offend my Christian brothers by raising any subject that could be humiliating for them.

Peace be upon you all. Thank you for reading this.
