Mr. Rahman's comments

Reader comment on item: Will Yasser Arafat try to stop suicide bombings?

Submitted by Richard A. FInn (United States), May 16, 2002 at 17:50

Mr. Rahman reminds me of one of those talking dolls: Pull the ring at the end of the string, and it says the same thing all day, but something different every day. The PA can't have it both ways. They either control the terrorists or the IDF will have to clean out more Jenins. But the Palestinians won't be able to complain.

I trust Mr. Arafat about as far as I can throw an elephant. Mr. Pipes, you are correct: Israel has to fight a continuing battle for its existence. Too bad the Palestinians can't be moved to the Sinai.
