I hardly think the problem lies in the Quran itself, but it lies in the people interpreting it. Islam is not a "tradition", it is a religion, a way of life and covers every area of life beautifully.

The "traditions" of certain people are the ones that interfere and make Islam look bad. Ignorance, and there is a lot of it going around, is what makes Islam looks bad.

Islam is submission to god and a peaceful way of life and couldn't be more fair whether to women, children and even plants!
