Which amounted to nothing. Arafat got 98% of what he asked for and threw it away - considering what he really wanted was to push Israel into the sea. Which is what his party wanted, but wouldn't say in English. Hamas isn't quite that shy.

"Give 3 Billion a year to the Palestinians, like you do to Israelis, and you will get more for your money."

We give Egypt $2 billion a year. What we get in return appears to be just hatred in their national press. I'd like my money back. We give to the victims of the earthquake in Pakistan and get our flag burned for our trouble.... Why bother?

No - it is cleary the wish of the Arab states. That and I'm pretty sure the Hashemites ruling Jordan would just as soon keep the "Palestinians" where they are for at least one other reason. From the "Palestinians" I've met, the "love" seems to be returned in kind....

What the Palestinians have seen is a series of measured responses in respone brutal attacks against Israeli citizenry. That's not a "war". This wouldn't still be an issue if Israel had fought a *war* over this. If anything, the United States has been standing in the way of that. Of course, we aren't appreciated for that favor either....
