Your rational approach to a response to wacky conspiracy theories misses an essential point--the theorists who propound the nonsensical theories and their followers are not rational enough to be persuaded by facts. The target of the conspiracy accusations will always be tarnished among the witless. No facts can or will alter their opinions.
