Yes, I agree -- the US is the dominant culture force in the world today. However, what the above article declines to mention is that the dominant US culture today is African-American culture, which rejects the positive image of the US as 'the home of freedom,' etc.; quite the opposite, in fact. When I see Kanye West's picture all over everything in the Middle East, I am not surprised at all to learn that people there want to suicide-bomb the US, given Mr. West's recorded views on politics and what he puts in his songs.
