This is not freedom of ExpressionReader comment on item: Bibliography – My Writings on the Danish Cartoon Controversy and the Rushdie Rules Submitted by Unnikrishnan (India), Feb 12, 2006 at 23:39 "Freedom of speech" should not be at the cost of the pride of any religion be it Islam, Christianity, Hinduism or any other religion. Its nothing short of RACISM and would the guys who speak for freedom of speech support racist inclined articles or slogans? If you have even a minute degree of conviction in what you people are saying, answer to this post. WOULD YOU SUPPORT A CARTOON OR CARICATURE WHICH IS DEROGATORY TO, SAY A PARTICULAR RACE? In spite of being a hindu I get a strong feeling of hurt after seeing the cartoons and moreover I feel more hurt after seeing comments supporting the cartoon. My stance on this..... the cartoons----hugely condemnable!!!!! the supporters of so called "free speech"---- even more condemnable!!
