Did the protesters see the cartoons?

Reader comment on item: The Clash to End All Clashes?

I am not even sure people in the Middle East saw those Danish Cartoons. In any case, their reaction is unmatched by reactions to similar events in the West. The destruction of churches, synagogues and the Afghan Buddhas did not provoke similar reactions in the West. Let us hope that violence will end and peace will prevail.
