Reader comment on item: Why Hamas['s Electoral Victory] Leaves Me Neutral

Submitted by F. Shakki (United States), Feb 1, 2006 at 21:15

President Bush is still talking about democracy in the Islamic world.
I am so surprised not from the issue of Hamas will control the Palestinian government, but from America does not understand.

Apparently President Bush does not care about the non-Moslems minorities in the Middle East. He wants the blessing of the Moslem populations and make sure they are happy.

He does not know that in any Islamic country, Moslems looks at the Christians and Jews, as people do not deserve to live.
That is why from time to time, savage Moslems attack churches in Egypt to kill, destroy and burn under the protection of the Moslem police.

You in America here, do not care if the Moslems in other countries kill Christians or Jews.
It is happening in Iraq and Kosvo now while the American army is there.
It is happening in every country has Moslems, and America close the eyes.
But America still talks about human rights.
Apparently you are talking about the human rights and democracy for only the Moslems.

Probably you consider the Christians and Jews are not human enough to defend them, or because they do not have oil, or because you do not have the courage to tell the Moslems that your Koran is a manual of hate and a motive to commit crimes against humanity.
The middle east is in a very difficult period- transition to what is called democracy, and that will mean more suffering for minorities, or what Alexander de Tocqueville described as "the tyranny of the majority". I would rather live with limited democracy than hand the countries to the Moslem Brothers and extremists.

During the reign of Sadam in Iraq, Christians were doing fine, during the Americans existing there, Christians are killed and churches are burned and Iraq became an extension to Iran.

Under the pressure from America, the Moslems brotherhood advanced in the election to score more than 30%.
They could control the whole country, because the whole population is extremists.
