First of all I wto point out that these 77 branches of faith are a summarized from the Hadith wirtten more than 1400 years ago, before the invention of TV. But one point in the list says that we follow the Shria, the islamic law.

I, as well as the majority of muslims see music and tv, as a Cup; It depends on the content. If the cup contains wine (or any blood!!!), its forbidden. If it contains anything else which is "Hallal", then the cup is not forbidden. The same with TV and music.

But you seem to learn about islam from the surrounding events. Here are two example which show that what you think is not true.

1- By the end of 2005, there was the "Reviving The Islamic Spirit Convention 2005, Toronto, Canada" which included a Concert, and a group of the most famous islamic scholars and preacher from all over the world attended this huge event. http://www.revivingtheislamicspirit.com/concert/

2- Today, all of my muslims friends congratulated me with the beginning of the new islamic (Hegira) year, an event that is celebrated all over the world by muslims. They watch movies about the Hegira (event which mohammed fled from Mecca to Madina), and listen to a song called "Tala Al-Badr Alayna", a song that the "Ansar" in Madina performed on the arrival of Mohammed.
