Confirmation of Sharon's actionsReader comment on item: Don't deal with terrorists Submitted by Bruce Boyman (United States), Jan 28, 2006 at 12:40 The election of Hamas is merely a reflection of the decades-long increased radicalization of the Islamic world, and the need to deal with it from a standpoint of maximum protection.1. Gaza settlements were untenable without heavy Israeli civilian casualties and expenditure of resources. Egypt did not want Gaza back in 1978. The withdrawal west, and the security fence east are proof of Israel's conclusions about having a sensible peace partner anytime soon. 2. Iran's WMD/missile/ terror threat is exponentially greater than that posed by the Palestinians. 3. Islam's attacks in Madrid, London, Bali, and Chechnya have nothing to do with the West Bank or Palestine. Liberal western media continues to underscore the world-wide intents of radical Islam, nor acknowledge the high percentage (?) of it's Muslim adherents. 4. The US State Dept. deserves much blame for it's mollification of Arab radicalism in the decades prior to 9/11.
