Does Dr. Pipes think that an electoral victory would help legitimize Hamas in the eyes of Western powers? Would European nations or the US actually hold open meetings on an equal footing with Hamas if it came to dominate the PA? Can Hamas be expected to be more open to tactical negotiation, or will an electoral victory just embolden its jihadist tendencies?
