I hate to contradict you but Thousands of people do die during Liberation.

The reason why the liberation of Europe from the yoke of Nazi's was so successful can be put down to the sheer overwhelming destruction of Germany, leaving it with no will to fight on and no capability to fight on. Remember it was the fanatics had a hold there too.

Iraq was no different, yes large parts of the population were against the regime, but guess what, large parts benefited from the regime and didnt want it to disappear. Everyone knew how bad it was, but internally they were incapable of changing it. The new heirs to Saddam's regime (his two sons) looked even more insane with power than he was. This situation was going to be the same for another crazy generation.

Europe seems to be appeasing Iran now and no one seems to understand the dangers that are coming from being seen as a soft decadent western democracy. We will be surprised when Iranians born and raised in the UK and USA are involved in terrorist activities. Just as Britain has discovered with its own "home grown" fanactical islamic terrorists!
