Reader comment on item: [Hedayet and] Border Agencies in Denial

Submitted by Gary (United States), Oct 21, 2002 at 13:33

I see many of your brilliant readers coming forward with their philosophies on immigration. I understand that the problem exists and includes even immigrants from Mexico and other Latin American countries.

Please let's not go overboard, but instead let's focus exclusively on immigrants from Muslim countries and basically not let any of them in at all. As for Latin American immigrants, let's tolerate that problem for now, so that the full force of INS and Border Patrol can focus on the real threat, which is people from Islamic countries.

It wasn't migrant Mexican workers who blew up the trade center, it was a group of militant Muslims. Let's keep the enemy out and not waste valuable resources on immigrants who don't pose a threat.
