Reader comment on item: Has Grover Norquist Dropped the Islam Portfolio?

Submitted by Laura B. (United States), Jan 9, 2006 at 00:53

The fact that he maintains his Islamic Free Market Institute that he established, and just got married last April to a Palestinian woman, who should ,also, be investigated,I think, makes it difficult to believe means he has not dropped, or stepped out of this arena.
His reach is so ,seemingly, all encompassing, one wonders what he continues to hold in his net.
Did I read he is under investigation as well ?
I, actually, feel badly for Bush. More importantly, what and whose intelligence can he trust?
Is it accurate that Norquist is ,actively, fighting the Patriot Act's passage?

And where does this leave the intelligence on Iran, Jordan, the terrorist groups, Homeland Security, the Israel-Arab policy, the continuation of the Arab Boycott even though dropping it was a condition for Saudi Arabia to be accepted into the WTO?

I'm sorry, there is too much going happening on a daily basis within the US with which it appears he is involved. It would be most interesting and important to know if he has his fingerprints on some of these ephemeral Justice Department investigations and flimsy indictments of some of the most valuable minds in our fight against terror; and how deeply placed are they.

I hope, it all is brought to light and not buried ( as long as it doesn't jeopardize our war effort and security in any way.)
Laura
