Gradual Disappearance of Phata-MorganaReader comment on item: [After Sharon:] Israeli Politics Will Revert to Its Past Submitted by Mikael K (Israel), Jan 8, 2006 at 18:30 Observing (on site) the Israeli Mass-Media's frantic attempts to keep sharon's court -i.e. ehud and The Looser, afloat Despite the dramatic political exit of their King one can imagine a more gradual picture of their demise and dispersal. Stage1 Gaps in the smoke screen At this stage through the thick barrage of tailored optimistic poll results and false stability claims a couple of "renegade" pollsters will dare to publish lower estimates by 5 votes. Say 31 mandates instead of the shiny 37. These would be quickly hushed-up lest the public will hear. Yet the truth will continue to trickle. 3 weeks duration. Stage2 Reality comes knocking Suddenly a sharp journalistic atacks on the strengths of Kadima will ensue - fisrtly in the marginal media - say Russian language press. Terror atacks detonate the mask show of solidity of ehuds control. Real decline to 25 "poll mandates" will legitimize open discussion of the shakeful, practically non existent Kadima Ideology and goals. Some dissident leftists will start talking about consolidation around old Labour. Internal squabbling of zipi and The Looser becomes public knowledge. Info trickle becomes a strong flow. 4-5 weeks. Stage 3 Bare Prince 'Each man to himself' will become the order of the day in the wimpy and rapidly melting group. The repetition of the fate of the virtual "Center" party of the previous elections ensues in the endgame. Time-table un-important. Stage 4 After the election Netanyahu repeats the strategic mistakes of his 1-st term. Cowering to the state department pressure and not denouncing the left ideology and not using properly his trump cards. A usual steady number of terror atacks on Israel goes on...
