Reply to AidanReader comment on item: Two Germans vs. Islamism Submitted by Mary (United Kingdom), Jan 8, 2006 at 16:03 Nice sentiments Aidan, but there is no doubt that even among "moderate" Muslims there is tacit if not active support for many of the radical ideas of extremists, mainly because of Israel and the on-going war in Iraq and general anti-Americanism. Just to remind you, the London suicide bombers started out as non-practising or moderate Muslims and became radicalised very quickly.
