UNREPORTED,in all the leading French papersReader comment on item: Two Germans vs. Islamism Submitted by Myron Ernst (United States), Jan 3, 2006 at 21:57 Here is the gist, exactly as UNREPORTED, in all the leading French papersTOTALLY IGNORED -not a word, as yet.-it is now Tues late p.m.Early last Sunday morning, the local NIce to Lyon train, while stopped at a small station (Arcs) was taken over by a group of North African "youths" . The approx. 600 passengers were robbed, threatened; some of the women were raped. This siege lasted one and a half hours with the police ON THE SCENE> All but 3 of the of gang of approx 20 "youiths" escaped because the police were denied entry into the train; they had to await permsiion from the French Railroad Co (SNCF) to board it. This is unprecedented. Nothing like this has ever happened before. French gov. TV had a very short ho-hum story on it.on Mon. No emotion, concern ;NO COMMENTARY . It has now been "disappeared" on TV also--nothing more tooday-Tues. The names of the captured youths will remain anonymous . It will be interest to see for how long the media will be able to spike this story. To the best of my knowledge, ,only La Republica, among the print media, has written about it at length.
