Reader comment on item: Suspicious Neighbors Prevent Terrorism

Submitted by Chris (United States), Dec 9, 2005 at 19:36

As a police officer I know first hand that citizens are often the first to observe criminal behavior taking place. Cops cannot be in all places at one time. As more and more radicals move into the USA, sooner or later they will begin to engage in strange behavior. They might be in the process of carrying out an attack of some kind, or they could be conducting surveillance on a potential target!!

So kudos to all Americans that report suspicious persons, suspicious vehicles, and suspicious activities. Remember it was a police officer contacting a suspicious male that resulted in the arrest of Eric Rudolph.
