You've got it right!

When Arafat walked out on PM Barak at Camp David, CNN's Christiane Amanpour asked him why he turned down Israel's generous offer. So he told her! "Any concession I would make would be a betrayal of my people. Would you betray yours?".

Israeli concessions are a sign to the Arabs, that Israel doesn't believe in itself or its right to exist as an independent Jewish State. So if some Israelis don't believe in themselves, why should the Arabs.

King Solomon recognized the true mother of the child who lived, as the mother who wouldn't allow the child to be divided, no matter what. Not the other one, whose child had died!
