The only times in which the believers are allowed to take up arms are:

1. When they are defending their own lives and the lives of their people

2. When they see the weak being oppressed in acts of tyranny

3. When they are prohibited from practicing their religion.

Aside from these circumstances there is no legitimate fighting in ISLAM!
