Why unlearn only 9/11?
Reader comment on item: Democrats Unlearn 9/11

Submitted by kkverma (India), Nov 11, 2005 at 03:05

Hello,

There is a whole lot of list to be unlearned by human beings to be effective in this civilized world.
In the era of Information overflow, leadership and motivation has lost its significance especially based on old tradition and conservative ideas. The people are fed up to try out those old methods and It has been experienced that the individual remain deprived, unsuccessful and frustrated not only in one generation but many generations. The old traditional ways are not going to work in the time to come. The new ways and means are to be evolved. The directions and decisions have to be changed. The people are convinced that the new directions based on concrete research and analysis would pave the way for new success.

It is important to understand that learning has always been the craziest thing in the hands of human. The exploration of this field has ever been evolving rather than maturing. Today on the verge of information overflow, learning has to be carried out differently. The learning has to be in different direction. The great question arises how and what? Has the person been able to quench his or her thirst for endless learning? Where are we landing after life long learning? Where the learning has taken us? Has learning anything to do with thinking? How they evolve and mature? Instead of learning, is it worth finding, what is unlearning? Why and how to unlearn? Shall we move to unlearning? Questions are many and answers are in the dark. The answer could not be known to anyone in the world other than someone who has seen the changes with his own eyes in the developing country. The same could be told about developed world too.

The economic prosperity is very marginal issue in our overall development. Economic prosperity can provide us means to live in poverty, deprivation and misery unless we unlearn old things and learn to live in dignity. It would still force or compel us to continue living with lack of basic amenities. The basic amenities includes good school for children, well furnished hospitals for treatment, good roads, continuous electricity, bus/train terminals, soil nutrients, clean water and sanitation. Economic prosperity of individual will never be able to get these basic necessities of environment for a balanced and happy life. Today when the thinker of developed world are professing ideas to supplement poor with donations, they are not going to work.

The time has come when learning has lost its relevance. Unlearning has been the only means to achieve the desired success and peace in life. Before some one undertake the process of unlearning, it is important that the reason to unlearn should be very clear and understood. Once A theory has been developed where seven crucial factors have been earmarked to achieve the process of unlearning. The seven crucial factors would be explained as the ‘theory of human growth'.

The following points would be clear -

Why we should unlearn rather learn?
What are the different human needs where unlearning is important?
What are the major factors of unlearning?
How unlearning is achieved with systematic method?
What is the Theory of Human Growth?
What are the seven crucial factors?
How those factors are influencing our life?
How to control those factors to have a better control of life?
How to judge the development?
How to enjoy the development rather than curse the progress?
How to make the impact in the first generation itself like third generation?
How can we achieve the sense of developed citizen in the developing world?
How can we ensure the sense of development in developed world?
How can we make this world a real global village?
How to be the part of the progress of Millennium growth of the world?
How can we make the word ‘poverty' a history?

The process of unlearning has to be understood and achieved through practical and simple examples and illustrated means. Unlearning is required as much as for a common man as much they are required for illiterate, intellectuals, executives or CEOs. It is required for organisations, small company, society as well as state. It is required for all human being. It is the need of the hour. This is the need of the hour of the developed as well as developing world.
