Dear Cristina,

You wrote that
"hope you come to saving knowledge found only in Jesus Christ...."

I think it is not nice to wish someone to join any other religion. We just share our knowledge to increase the understanding between different religions and cultures. That's it. Nothing more. This is my standard answer on this website to people like you who thinks that everyone should believe what they believe.

You asked that
"Muslim men have the right to beat women?"

Yes, if necessary as a last option.
Here is the related verse:

"Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, Great (above you all)." (2:34)

Actually, all men across the world beat women without any permission. That's the reality. At least Muslim men might fear from Allah before attempting to misbehave against women as advised in Quran

"And if a woman fears cruelty or desertion on her husband's part, there is no sin on them both if they make terms of peace between themselves; and making peace is better. And human inner-selves are swayed by greed. But if you do good and keep away from evil, verily, Allâh is Ever WellAcquainted with what you do. " (2:128)

The fear of Allah is the only cure that can stop men from beating women.

By the way, according to your original holy book(s), women are not allowed to speak in church. Only their husbands can speak on their behalf. Why do you prefer talking about women rights on another religion before learning yours?
