Sunlight is the best disinfectant

I only wish Campus-Watch was around a few years ago when I was an undergrad at Columbia and had to suffer under the humiliating occupation of Profs. Said, Dabashi, and the rest of their fellow terrorism apologists. I knew enough to stay away from their classes, but it was truly nauseating to watch them get away with spewing their bile under the protection of the "free market of ideas" - the only free market in the world where the sellers sell but the buyers are not allowed to criticize the product.

What I find amazing about the controversey over Campus-Watch is that we are witnessing just how cowardly these academics really are. They cry out McCarthyism, but as (purportedly) intelligent, educated people they must realize that they are not facing a loss of livelihood because of their views, nor are they being forced to declare their loyalty to the United States (heaven forbid), and most importantly there is no government involvement whatsoever. The only threat they are facing is public dissemination of their views - and this prospect terrifies them!

Make 'em squirm.
