Comment on Gary's postReader comment on item: Europe under Siege Submitted by A. Ahmed (United States), Oct 19, 2005 at 16:49 I fully agree with Gary's sentiments. I would also like to add the following:-Without U.S. military intervention Europe including Turkey would be under Nazis today. -U.S. entered Iraq after the intelligence reports that Saddam had WMDs.War would have ended within a month and Iraq would have been in a much better situation had the jihadis from all over the world not intervened. Mr Sultan is not blaming jihadis for the current mess. -Mostly iraqis have been killed by the suicide bombings. Main targets are iraqi police and army recruits so that secular or shia iraqis may never take over.. The idea is that one day U.S. will get tired and leave and a taliban type sunni islamist Govt will take over. With Iraq's oil reserves that will be dream come true for Bin Laden/Zarqawi types. They could then spread their jihad to and take over the surrounding muslim countries as was the dream of Hasan Banna, Syed Qutub and Abdullah Azam, the godfathers of AlQueda.
