1. I'm very upset with some of our elected officials who are deferring to the UN before our own Congress can decide on the Iraq issue. They are going against our very own Constitution that they were elected to uphold.
We elected these congressmen and are paying our tax dolars for them to make our decisions....not to lay them in the laps of UN officials who care nothing about American lives. I don't mean to sound radical but I think this is appalling, if not treasonous. I'm writing letters left and right.
2. Mark: We've had the electoral college in our Constitution from the "get-go". This has happened twice in our history as a nation. There were reasons for having the electoral college. You can debate until the cows come home but we are still a republican democracy.
