Perceptions of Which Paradigm Leads to the New World Order

Reader comment on item: Muslim Life in 2021, as Predicted in 1921

Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Feb 25, 2021 at 13:33

As humanity races towards its historical outcome in these modern times (commencing from coming out of the Victorian era), it is intriguing how in some instances patterns of human endeavor not originally seen in contemporarily are reflected upon while looking in the rear view mirror; only then, is there a recognition that if we had only known, what would we have done differently. Dr. Pipes, as he did with the Saracens piece not too long ago, achieved just that insight for this observer.

His closing statement thus provides an excellent cautionary instruction, worth repeating:
[That remains an excellent lesson for today's analysts. Do not try to reduce causation to interests. Beliefs and passions count at least as much. Let us see how your – and my – analysis holds up in 2121.]

Humanity should last so long, if it indeed heeds that observance.
