Muslims should try to be self-dependent and self-confident

Dear Dr Pipes, Islamic apologist Debanjan Banerjee is effectively begging that Israel should vaccinate Palestinians living under Palestinian Authority. How come Israel had the foresight to arrange for the doses from Pfizer and Moderna and PA did not? With all Islamic oil wealth and billions of Muslims around the world, how come PA has to depend on the kafirs for the doses?

Is the following reverse scenario be possible? With all its oil money, Saudi Arabia buys millions of doses of the vaccine and a plane full of Arab doctors lands in PA to vaccinate the Muslim population. And, then, the WHO and the world demands that PA offers some vaccines to Israel also.

This scenario is inconceivable because Muslims are too committed to politics and expansion of Islam and too little to the well being of humanity, Muslim or otherwise.

PA is not alone. Pakistan is begging China for vaccines. I have not heard about even one confident and well-thought plan to deliver vaccines in the Islamic world.

Banerjee used the term 'genocide'. Words are cheap. Genocide is what ISIS did to Yezidis. A sensible nation prioritizing her population over enemy nations is not genocide. I wish all humans to be healthy and prosperous but Mr Banerjee should try some self confidence and self-dependence.
