Reader comment on item: L.A.'s Thwarted Terror Spree

Submitted by Walter (Canada), Sep 9, 2005 at 16:25

There was a time when Islam was clearly definable. The Imams spoke eloquently, as they quoted from their Holy books and spilled their venomous bile of hatred against non-Muslim nations. Without trepidation, they condemned, reviled and blamed the infidels, that is, Christians and Jews for the problems of the world, in particular, problems in Muslim countries, and quoted prodigiously from the Qur'an, the Sunnah and the Hadiths. But their rhetoric of hatred diffused as smoke in the wind. However, as true disciples reacted to this venomous preaching with acts of terrorism, murder and violence, the world began listening to the self appointed prophets of doom and focused on the sources of their rhetoric, the Holy books of Islam. As people began studying the Qur'an, the Sunnah and the Hadiths, they soon realized that these books were in fact guidebooks to terrorism and violence. Imams realized that in order to survive in the secular world, they had to create another identity, a face of tolerance, peace and brotherly affection. Islam quickly became a religion of smoke and mirrors. All of a sudden, Suras no longer meant what they said. They were written for specific situations, for specific times in history and they could not be understood without being interpreted by an Imam. Thus the instruction to married men who feared desertion of their wives, to admonish their wives, leave them alone in the sleeping places and beat them; transitioned to slapping their wives playfully on the behind. The ideology that Jews were equivalent to "apes" and "pigs" now applied only to violent, rebellious and criminal Jews. In the Mosques, Madrasses and Muslim countries, there is no ambiguity regarding the Qur'an, the Sunnah and the Hadith. However, in secular countries, the Muslim Holy books can only be understood when explained by an Imam. Unfortunately for the Imams, there are learned men some with doctorate degrees and former Muslims who are revealing the truth about Islam to anyone who seeks the truth. I believe that if you desire to understand Islam, read the book. It is not a book of sacred mysterious writings, but a book that clearly sanctions violence and terror with the irrevocable goal of Islam, dominating the entire world.
