I feel for your situation. Your daughter, even though she may be immature and nieve will do as she pleases. She is blinded right now. When she hits rock bottom...perhaps she will see the light. This kind of love which is not really love seems to fly out the window when the pressure builds up.

For you and your husband...you have a difficult decision to make but a necessary one. Put distance and boundaries up to protect yourself and sanity. This means letting go. Try not to be an enabler no matter what. Let her figure this out on her own. Continuing to give her any support will just drag this out longer. She needs to see the consequences of her actions.

A good clear boundary is a good thing. Even though we hurt when we see the struggle, it is not a good idea to jump in and rescue.

When she realizes she is accountable for her actions...she will become wiser and stronger.

Causing drama in your home is unacceptable. What you accept will continue.

My father kicked me out at 21 and it is the best thing he did. I knew it was up to me to work out my own problems and learn to be make better decisions. I still made mistakes as we all do but I view mistakes as lessons.

Keep a door open but only on your terms. It is your right. Pray she see the truth sooner than later. Accept nothing less from either of them except respect.

Some of us have to learn the hard way. Wishing you the best and welcome to the forum.
