Gaza disengagement will tell the world the truthReader comment on item: "Today Gaza, Tomorrow Jerusalem" Submitted by Dr. Richard & Arlene Rose (United States), Aug 19, 2005 at 14:36 Greetings, Mr. Pipes! We have read your article, "Today Gaza, Tomorrow Jerusalem," and are deeply concerned for these issues like so many other people watching the tensions in the land of Israel. After fifty years of watching this sore spot of the world since we ourselves were children, we still pray for a peaceful solution to the Israeli-Palestine issues. Ever since the Holocaust, Jews have fervently wanted a homeland for our Jewish people. However, sixty years is a long time for the Palestinians to be without a home, too. If the Arab nations never did anything to help their own, that is their fault, too, though this issue often goes largely ignored in the world. Israel is now taking a step to show the world what can be done. If the Arab nations only choose to make more war, then the rest of the world will know that they have never meant any good for their people. The world will know the truth about this choice--Will they choose Peace or Terror? We hope you will make this a point in future editorials. Respectfully submitted, Dr. Richard and Arlene Rose Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
