Treason and Free Speech Are Two Different Things

I disagree that treason is an obsolete concept. John Walker Lind was clearly levying war and giving aid to the enemy; why he was not charged with treason, I don't know. However, expressing an opinion, however scurrilous, is not. Those who chant, "NLF is gonna win," or its equivalent, should be shunned and/or rebuked in their community. I don't see how there can be treasonous opinions. Only actions can be treasonous.
