Correction: These were not "460 rockets and missiles"

Reader comment on item: Pushing for an Israeli Victory Is the Only Way to End the Conflict with the Palestinians

These were approx 450-600 mortars and rockets (and one anti-tank missile).
But mortars, frightening as they are, aren't as impressive as "missiles" or "rockets", so Israeli media decided to refer to both mortars and rockets as "launches" and as "rockets". I did actually hear Israeli news at least once acknowledge that the number of 450 relates to a combination of mortars and rockets. This is really about sensationalism. Whatever term is deemed more frightening is the term they will use. And this, of course, helps the enemy.
I would imagine that most of these 450-500 were in fact mortars.
By the way, if Israel would ever be stupid enough to give away half of Jerusalem, Palestinians would hardly require rockets to turn most of Jerusalem into a war-zone. Mortars would do.
