Is Gaza Withdrawal Strategic?

While I agree there's a great danger here... to what degree is the Gaza withdrawal strategic?

Both diplomatic and military, by providing useful cover for the wall, which is undeniably more effective than anyone had dreamed...

I am greatly in favor of disengagement as long as it is SOLELY strategic. If it has no strategic value and exists only as a barter of land for peace, we all know where that leads.
