Is Gaza Withdrawal Strategic?Reader comment on item: "Today Gaza, Tomorrow Jerusalem" Submitted by Jeremy Kareken (United States), Aug 10, 2005 at 11:57 While I agree there's a great danger here... to what degree is the Gaza withdrawal strategic?Both diplomatic and military, by providing useful cover for the wall, which is undeniably more effective than anyone had dreamed... I am greatly in favor of disengagement as long as it is SOLELY strategic. If it has no strategic value and exists only as a barter of land for peace, we all know where that leads.
